The vibes are giving Jax and Tara from Sons of Anarchy if we saw their consuming love when they were young.
I could not stop reading but some plot points got a bit repetitive and our love interest has a wicked mouth that came out of the blue at times. Overall I was invested even with those things

Where We Started is book 1 to the new Stone Riders MC series.
This follows Wes and Callie, they meet when they were 9 years old, one day when she snuck into his treehouse and it becomes a childhood friends to lovers till life broke them apart.
7 years later Callie comes back to her hometown for her fathers funeral. The angst, tension, and chemistry between Callie and Wes is so damn good. I cried, laughed and was so heartbroken my emotions were all over the place in all the good ways. I absolutely loved Callie and Wes’s love story. I loved seeing the dual POV on different timelines it was done so well. The plot twist was so good and unexpected. I am obsessed with this book and I can’t wait for Killian & Laura’s story in book 2.
I highly recommend this series. Thank you Ashley Munoz for the ARC.

Life inside the MC club is the central theme and the villain of the story. Club is an entity bigger than all characters because it demands total subjugation, loyalty and adherence more than any personal relationships.and that becomes the biggest monster to slay. Esp if you're like Callie Ray Stone who has the terrible itch to run far away and never to pay it's toll with her heart
But that's what exactly happens. Her father-Simon Stone is the Stone Riders Motorcycle Club president. His life is basically chained to club and brothers.
Callie wants out, so she tries to coax Wesley Ryan to give their love a chance and make their own haven somewhere untainted by MC club
Wesley already wears the cut and even he know, life in MC is one way street.
It can't be abandoned, undone or quit
They separate on their paths. But Callie returns home after 7 years and now Wesley is the Prez, after her father's death. But Simon has tied them together, for God knows reason why.
Actually Simon knows why.
I've been reading Biker Romances from way way before and have read some outstanding books in the genre.
Ashley writes well, but I've read so many better. That's the only reason why I liked the book but didn't fall in love with it. I had hard time connecting with Callie. Her anger simmers to explosive point but one kiss from Wesley and she's putty, that irked me the most. Wesley is very two-dimensional caricature of what hundreds of other biker members are like. Nothing stands apart.
But that's just me, please enjoy the book

Loved this book!! Was hooked right away. I usually don’t like when stories have flashbacks but this one was done right. I loved Wes and Callie. I hated what they went through. But it got them their HEA. Some great twists and turns. Can’t wait to continue reading the series.
Oh my word, this book I devoured! This MC romance was perfection. The backstory, the enemies to lovers, fated mates, strong mmc and fierce mfc, and steamy spice. The plot is incredible and the love story is only a part of it all. Grief, poverty, strength, grit, devotion, desire…all there and all done perfectly! Can’t wait to finish this series!
