DID NOT FINISH

I think I'm gonna DNF this for the second time.

1st run I made only made it 16% into the book. I wasn't a huge fan of the characters and story so far but figured I'd try again later.

2nd run, I'm DNFing around 40%. Wes is still a dick, and Callie is annoying and a pushover. The storyline isn't enough to keep me interested.

I adored everything about this. Callie and Wes reveal their story in the present and with flashbacks, and it doesn’t disappoint. I was equally invested in those snippets of them as young kids, when all Callie wanted was to escape the MC life she was chained to. Lots of things happen that conspire against these two though, and as dedicated as Wes is to making Callie’s dreams come true, their young love isn’t enough to survive some tough times. Now that she’s back, it’s easy to see why they’ve never found another. These two are meant to be together. It’s impossible to hate Wes when you get to know him through his POV, he’s book boyfriend goals. Even though club life doesn’t factor heavily into this, Callie’s ‘big brother’ Killian is amazing and I can’t wait for his story, and the way the club functions as a family regardless of the crap going down around them warmed my heart. I’m glad this isn’t the last we’ll see of Rose Ridge.

I absolutely loved this book! I devoured it in one day. I'm still on the fence if I want to make it 5 stars, but this book had me plowing through it. Second Chance is not my favorite trope, but Ashley did it well!

I really liked Callie as a character. She was tough and wasn't going to let Wes push her around. She knew who she was and wasn't afraid to show everyone else. I do also like how she was still vulnerable at the same time. When she needed Wes, she let him do what he needed to. The longer the story dug in, the more she relied on him. Her development in her relationship felt natural and, although tense at times, was perfect for her.

And Wes, oh Wes. He was a bit rough to start, thinking he deserved everything. I can understand why he felt that way, given that Callie left. I really liked how despite his resentfulness to Callie, everyone else welcomed her home. Despite how much Wes tried to keep Callie at arms length, I really liked how they kept getting thrown together. The way he protected her and watched over her made me smile so much. The big gift he wanted to give her, too, literally made me swoon

This was my first book by Ashley Muñoz and I frickin' loved it! I can't wait to finish this series! She might be an auto-buy for me in the future!

If you are a fan of Sons of Anarchy then this series is for you. This book is a second chance romance that is filled with spice, lust and banter between the main characters. There is also a mystery going on that will last through out the first couple of books in the series. It is a must read!

I forget how much I love a MC romance... damn

I ate this shit up. I looooooved it. Idk why it made me emotional though but it's okay, I'm fine LOL.

The book was good. I just couldn’t understand why Wes was angry for all those years at Sky for leaving. I loved his loyalty, dedication, and love to her all those years apart.
