I savored this book since I didn't want to series to end. Three Antari need to join forces and figure out how to defeat the evil that has descended upon the Maresh empire. Just love the characters and world building VE Schwab conveys with her writing. I was drawn in from the very beginning and am a true fan of this series. Highly recommend!!

"Love and loss are like a ship and the sea. They rise together. The more we love, the more we have to lose. But the only way to avoid loss is to avoid love. And what a sad world that would be. "

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I loved this serie and that it changed my life but I did really enjoy it and it's all thanks to the characters. I don't know what it is with me but I seem to always get very attached to the protagonists of a book I read. In this case in particular, they had the power to make me keep reading the entire serie and ignore the only problem I had with it: the story was sooo unnecessarily long! I understand that a plot has to be developed but it should also have limit. In some occasions, though, I thought it was getting out of hand and some pieces could have been omitted without compromising the story.
