This was cool. I ended the series disliking Merlin so this did a great job of telling his story. Definitely read after the rest of the books so that you can keep up with the fast pace of the story. The author is banking on you already knowing the plot from the prior books. It was so sweet to hear his past and how that informed his choices. I totally needed this to close the loop fully on all the books. 🫶

The Moon was a hauntingly beautiful story. I loved that it was original, something so unique you just become entrapped reading it. The Moon is a Standalone story, however it takes place near the end of American King, and has many New Camelot spoilers. It is recommended to read the New Camelot trilogy before you read this, I did not. Now that I have read The Moon I really wish I would have read the previous trilogy. Even though I didn't I still feel like this was an Amazing Read. This is a tale you have never heard before and one you will never forget! If your a fan of all things Camelot and Merlin you will just Die from the Excitement and Spice this book brings! Merlin had my heart, what it must be like to know all he does (being blessed with the sight) and still have such a strong love for Nimue. It's so Beautiful and Tragic but also extremely Erotic. There are some twist I never would have seen coming and I have to say they were quite scandalous in a delicious way! This book has a very predestined feel to it. You just become so enchanted reading it, waiting for the inevitable to happen. I seriously couldn't get enough, I wanted more! It is a short story built up of 100 pages, but their so dang good! Read it! Fall under Merlin's spell and become entrapped in The Moon!
The Cards of Love Collection is build up of 35 authors that came together to release books that incorporate a particular Tarot Card into their story. Tarot cards are a set of 78 playing cards that have different meanings or symbolism, and each author has interpreted a card of their choice and weaved it into their romance. I love every aspect of this and I'm so thrilled to have read The Moon! I received and ARC in Exchange for an Honest review.

I was not sure how I would feel about Merlin going into this with how I am still reeling from American King and everything that happened. Merlin for me in the trilogy had me loving to hate him and I was not sure I could look around that. But, as with any Sierra Simone book, you always need an open mind and a few hours to really see what magic she is able to spin.

That is what this book is - magical. From the first sentence I knew I was going to devour this to find out what would happen to Merlin and Nimue.

"My work—the sole aim and focus of my fifty years—is finished. There’s nothing waiting to be done, no more battles left to fight on Ash’s behalf."

Getting to see what drives Merlin and what ultimate sacrifices he has made to ensure that our American Queen, Prince, and King were able to fulfill their destinies was a way for me to reconcile why he did what he did.

Merlin finally getting his second(third?) chance with Nimue and finding out how intertwined their souls are was amazing. Sierra has a way with words that starts with a light feathering touch and then grabs you by the you-know-whats and does not let go until she is pleased with your mutual experience, much like Nimue.

If you have read the New Camelot Trilogy or you are just stumbling across them now, pick this up, read the books in order and then send Sierra a thank you note.

Sierra Simone is absolutely amazing. Even in a shorter book, she is able to weave together something that yanks at my emotions. This book was amazing, and I loved being back in the Camelot world. Highly recommend.

Merlin and Nimue, say no more

This team has been a loooong time in the making. Merlin finally gets his HEA with a woman who is his perfect match in every way. The struggles and and hardships endured, both past and present, bring them together in ways no one saw coming. It's magical and all theirs and I am truly awed by their love and what they give to each other. Well done Sierra, for a novella, this one really packs a punch with a tidy little bow on top!
