The Greek Billionaire and His Secretary by Marian Tee – I don’t know how a couple that awkward still manages to seem plausible, but this was an interesting prequel and I will be looking for the series! Happy Reading!

I seem to be in the minority here. I just didn't like this one for so many reasons. First and foremost though are the hero and heroine. The hero pretty much assaults her and it's supposed to be ok? But even if we disregard the fact that he kind of assaulted her by ramming his tongue down her throat, he follows that up by threatening to check "down there" (and yes, that is the terminology used) to prove that she's wet from their kiss. Then, of course, there's the heroine herself. From the very first page, she was an obnoxious brat who could use a few years in charm school. She's rude, socially inept, and should probably be kept locked up at home until she learns manners or at the very least how to comport herself in a public setting. She's supposed to be 24 but she acts like she's 12. No, scratch that, I know plenty of 12 year olds who know how to behave in public. She's acting like a 4 year old. The story premise sounded promising, like something I would actually enjoy reading, but I detest the characters so much just can't bring myself to actually read the next book.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is my very first Marian Tee book and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was genuinely thrilled when the heroine's quirky personality showed itself on the very first page (her puce dress!) and had me laughing out loud. I love books that grab you from the very start, and this is one of those. It is a great prequel of the story of Willow and Stavros, who you met in the "How To" series with Mairi and Damen. While i'm sure reading that series is not required for this one, my curiosity will not let me not read it. So I will be buying the "How to" books before I read any more of this series.

Willow and Stavros meet each other again when they are partnered at a party given by newlyweds Mairi and Damen. Willow is the quirky heroine who has no brain to mouth filter and randomly says inappropriate things, especially when she's around Stavros. He is the brooding playboy billionaire who is hurting from watching the woman he loves happily married to someone else.

The sparks fly as soon as Willow and Stavros are in each others presence and it leads to inappropriate things being said and to them spending a really hot night together. The morning after is filled with regret, and a very hurt Willow when Stavros walks away, leaving her in bed and in tears. I am eager for Book 1 in the series to be released to see what happens between them. If the prequel is anything to go by, this promises to be a wonderful series. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books. I am very happy to add myself on the list of Marian Tee fans.
