First things I liked : side characters, Bolivian language and pacing by the end.

Now what I didn't like : Ximena she was rude and full of prejudice for most of part of book and villain was weak.
I'm disappointed

A cute story with some really fun characters and mythology I haven't seen in a book before. My only grief is that there could have been more depth. Everything was very surface level action and I feel as though it could have been done in 100 pages. It needed more emotion and a ticker plot.

The first few chapters did not quite grab my attention, but I pushed through that feeling, and I sure am glad that I did! This book is a refreshing insight and masterfully woven tale of a young woman that learns to be true to herself when it matters most, especially in the face of danger. She has to make difficult choices but she does so with grace and strength.
I couldn’t put this book down after the third chapter. Truly captivating and magnificent!
The cover art is absolutely beautiful; they say “don’t judge a book by its cover”, but this is what caught my eye and I’m so glad I read it!
Cannot wait to get my hands on Written in Starlight.

First off, I just have to say the cover of this is gorgeous. And the fact that the author designed and illustrated it herself is really cool. She is very talented. I enjoyed the book itself. The setting was different, and I liked that it wasn't European inspired like most YA fantasy I read. The magic system was interesting, although I wish that it was better explained and utilized. I am definitely planning to read Written in Starlight. This is an author I'll be watching out for.
