YOTSUBA!!!!!!!! I love her this is the most adorable thing I have ever read in my whole wide world!
BRO it's just like the Azuma talked about how there's joy to be found in everything and TRUE. The story has so much fun with it's characters, tho have to say my favourite dynamic other than yotsuba rn her father and how much light she brings into his life (also how he's like she's such a weird little. Girl yet so many of her weird traits can be linked back to him) is mistake, fuuka and yotsuba!! I love how when yotsuba arrives she basically gets evryone else to appreciate the joy in life more whether it's cup phones, studying, collecting rocks or painting. Like she's just the representation of if you let go of habit and social rules u can experience so much joy through every tiny thing and reading it has put me in this wonderful mental state and I think it's something evryone should experience. . Also the backpack chapter made me sob please read it.

This was oodles of fun and I felt for Yotsuba's dad in the end. Yotsuba is growing up fast and is going to school soon-ish. This volume was fun, we are cramming (though Yotsuba doesn't know what it is), we are going stone collecting and only the beautiful ones can come home, there is a backpack chapter, and there is much more. I love how everyone is with Yotsuba and I loved how she was in this volume.

Longer review to come.

Yotsuba always makes me happy but this time the ending was a little bittersweet! Still, her adventures are fun and full of wonder. Hoping it’s not the last we’ll see of her!

This book came out a while back, but I’ve been holding onto it for a special occasion because volumes come out so rarely. Heading to the hospital for the birth of my second kiddo seemed like the occasion I had been waiting for. This series remains as thoughtful, sweet, and funny as always. This book is another beautiful example of what makes the Yotsuba series so special. It may not be the funniest, but it will make you smile and warm your heart. Also, the backpack scene where Yotsuba’s father breaks down in tears? I can’t imagine a parent anywhere not sobbing right alongside.

I love this series with my whole heart. It was one of my first manga I ever read and now, 6 years later, I still adore it. There were so many times when I laughed while reading this and I think that’s the best part about Yotsuba as a series.
I will admit, the ending did make me tear up a bit. I remember being just like Yotsuba, so excited to grow up, and now, the future scares me. This series helps me remember “the good ol days,” where everything was fun and nothing really mattered.
Ok, back to the warm fuzzy parts of this book. The grandma, while not featured much, is still a standout character. Yanda is still being Yanda and now I want to try banana juice. The story Yotsuba wrote is a masterpiece and should get an award.
I’m not sure when the next volume will be released, but I can’t wait to see what this adorable girl does next. I can’t wait!
