jane austen is never a miss! she is hilarious, poignant, and remains shockingly relatable centuries later. every time i read another book by her i fall more in love with the compassion she writes her heroines with as they navigate the foibles that come with youth. also i am catherine morland and she is me.

Oh how I had missed Jane and her disarming humor!

What a lovely re-read! I buzzed through it in a single day. Jane is SAVAGE in this one. A short novel with a ditzy heroine. It's not as polished as her later novels, but it's very fun to read. John Thorpe is a B*****D, and I wouldn't be surprised if old General Tilney DID murder his wife, the greedy old coot. Of all the Austen I've read, this one makes me want to meet her most.

this was a delight to read but of course not as amazing as some of her other works. The ending was quite rushed but I still enjoyed it
