"How exhuasting it was to keep a secret, to hide a secret, to discover a secret, to know a secret existed and waited for you in the dark."

I am not sure if I loved # 3 in the series so much that #4 paled in comparison, or if this book just wasn't as good. The plight of the nibblers was interesting, and this book sets up book #5 great, but as a whole it was my least favorite in the series.

I enjoyed this book. But, feel I must add a word of caution to any parents who's kids are reading this. This book deals with some pretty heavy issues. In this book there is mass genocide. It doesn't go into a lot of details, but it is definitely something that you will want to talk to your kids about. Also, the characters have started to act much older than their ages. They are falling in love, declaring war, and generally behaving much older than any 12 year old I have ever know. Despite that, I found the story entertaining and engrossing. I really have enjoyed this series and can't wait for the fifth book.

Stupid cliffhanger!

Okay, cliffhangers don't bother me that much when I can immediately start the next book, but still. This book. I'm just dead. War is not the answer...
