This book was one of my most anticipated books to start reading, since I have a fascination for stalkers and the plot sounded really unique!
Without trying to spoil anything, the stalker part doesn't really play a big role in this book, not more than in any average crime thriller. I feel like this book could have been at least a 100 pages shorter, since the biggest part of the book is the murderer/victim cat-and-mouse game. Since it's still early in the book, I know the MC will not die in this part, so I had to skim trough a 100 pages or so because it's just boring. I still finished because I was curious about the plot twists that obviously would come at the end. I'm just really disappointed. I loved no exit, but this one was not for me.

If you read a lot of books, you’re bound to leave a bad review on a book every once and a while, but what if you left a bad review and the author decides to get revenge on you?
Five stars since I keep finding myself thinking of this book weeks after I’ve finished it. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. Within a few pages you’re hooked, and within a few chapters you are creeped out. While I was able to predict a few of the plot twists towards the end, there were also a few that were very shocking!
If you’re looking for a quick read and love a book-within-a-book trope, then i recommend you pick this up.

Ugh. I already know how this is going to end.
No, I don’t.
Yes, I do.
No, I don’t. Wait… what???
Slow start, but I really flew through the back half. Just a fun creepy thriller that kept me not quite sure what would happen next.
And yes (spoiler alert) the dog is ok.

I forgot what this book was about and I don't know why I didn't acknowledge the cover for the author, but several chapters in I found myself really enjoying the writing and journey. It's Taylor Adams!!! I remember really enjoying No Exit also!
This book was a nice change with a different approach to dialogue, cause and effect and the unbelievably amazing relationship between Emma and Laika. Holy shit, if there were an amazing fur parent!
A woman who purposefully isolates herself from humanity because of an incident she can't forgive herself for, a strange neighbor who tries to break her wall down and help her through depression, and a creepy unwelcome visitor in a mask... the night feels oppressive, eyes watching, and secrets revealed.
This is a pretty sad journey for Emma, but the author does a wonderful job if interjecting whit in all the right places to make the journey unforgettable. A few twists and surprises. Some are evident, but the journey is still worth it.
"I'll meet you half way."
"Fucking writhers, man."
