This book was a journey, and completely unique to anything I've read before. I enjoyed the experience overall and even got a bit emotional at the end.

However I felt there were too many characters to keep track of, and felt confused consistently with who it was we were talking about in the book, especially towards the middle. This made the flow stunted for me and I found it hard to get lost in the story. The start and end were definitely much better than the middle. However I do think it was worth the middle to get to the ending.

Delightful read, evoked the atmosphere of the magical circus in such a lovely way. Enjoyed the journey of the two competitors and the interesting cast of characters involved in creating the Night Circus.

What a disappointment. I knew this book was no plot and straight vibes, but the vibes were simply not enough. There's not a single thing I liked about this book. After one week of trying to get through it, and only making it halfway, I skimmed the rest. Even the SparkNotes synopsis was disappointing.

3,5 sterren.
