The author has a choppy writing style. And once again I want to throat punch Lacey even though she isn't even the lead in this book, but she tAkes up too many pages. I didn't like how the author skipped right over what happened in the 2 years off prologue and chapter 1..how Zoe and Vlad slept toge, hut we never find out how that came about, or the aftermath. 25% in and they are already in love, though I have no idea why. 50% in and now it's boring. Nothing interesting is happening. No relationship or plot development. Finally there is some development, but I hated the direction it took. I'm not a huge fan of Zoe, but Vlad is a huge jerk. He says mean, hurtful things, and takes out his frustrations on her. And the last portion of the book is little romance, and more like a public service announcement.

I really wanted to read book 3 in the series, but now I'm really hesitant since I don't particularly like the author's writing style, or many of the characters.

I was desperate to read Vlad and Zoe after reading Jody and Lacey.
I had a feeling something like it did would happen but then was thrown for a loop with a twist.
I really hope we get updates later so we can keep up with them!
Thanks Nikki!

After reading the first book about Jody and his lady, I was so very excited about the sequel aka Goalie Interference! I loved the first book, so I was ecstatic when I started reading this one..However, I didn’t love this one..

Don’t get me wrong..It’s a wonderful book with a nice story and nice characters..But it wasn’t great..It definitely wasn’t as good as the first book..At least in my opinion..I enjoyed the book and I really liked it, but I didn’t love it..

It was simply nice, not great..Perhaps I had too high expectations after reading the first book..

>>Vlad is a great guy..He’s very successful at his work..He is loved by his family and friends..He’s the guy everyone likes and everyone wants to be around! I really liked him..

>>Zoe on the other hand..I don’t know..She’s nice but she’s not good enough for Vlad, to be honest..I’m all up for fighting hard for your career and not losing your concentration and definitely not giving up for a man..But Vlad is such a great guy that I found her behavior quite cold..I was in Team Vlad the entire time..

In conclusion, I enjoyed it and it’s really a wonderful book to pass your time..If you want something light and entertaining to read, then this one is a fantastic choice!!

I had such high hopes for Goalie Interference, but it was such a huge letdown. I was able to piece clues together from The Enforcer to figure out what had gone on between Zoe and Vlad previously.

The relationship felt rushed after all the flirting and tension between the two. Vlad interrupting all of Zoe's dates was funny, but I feel like the story wasn't thought through with all of the minor subplots and characters. Even Vlad's recovery felt rushed and almost forgotten at times.

Throwing Crystal into the story was uncalled for and I wanted to stop reading after that. I don't like these kind of subplots. I want to read about romance and tension, not past relationships and their remnants.

So, I read a good chunk of this because Goodreads had a bad link that took me to the wrong book with the same title. Not only is the writing goddamn awful, the lack of a content warning for self-harm is inexcusable. Completely.
