I’m sorry, but this series just isn’t it for me.

De pacing voelt gek, de love story doet het niet voor me en hoewel een age gap als dit in andere boeken geen enkel probleem vormde (ik bedoel: kijk naar ACOTAR) voelt het hier WEIRD.

Persephone voelt als een naïeve tiener, en Hades als een vader figuur. I just can’t see them together.

Blij dat ik na boek 1 de rest van de afleveringen gratis via Webtoon heb gelezen, want deze boeken zijn me te duur voor wat het is.

Sorry, maar helaas. De art style is ontzettend tof en het is absoluut geen slechte serie, maar ook zeker niet iets voor mij.

i know i’m beating a dead horse with this but the entire relationship between hades and persephone seems so deeply predatory - he’s a full 2000 years older than her, she’s only 19, she’s so naive and inexperienced, and the entire time he’s just kind of gentle parenting her through her emotions? i especially hate the bit where they talk about how he considered marrying her mother, just because it emphasises the weird age/power/maturity dynamic? this sucks and obvs ill be reading more of the series because i’m a masochist, but this is literally so upsetting to me.
