It was okay. 2.5ish stars.
There was something missing in this book for me and I didn't feel invested enough in all the storylines. I also found it to be on the slower side and thought it was probably longer than it needed to be. The latter part of the book was more enjoyable, once people got moving and POV became more intertwined. I preferred the medieval fantasy style setting of the previous books over the steampunk kind of world we had for most of this one.
That being said, I loved the addition of the Blue Foxes. They were by far my favourite part of the book.

This book is just as good as the others! I love how all the books leading up to it introduce some characters and how the books are all linked and everything. This book in general was amazing! The characters and actions were written beautifully and the book had a wonderful plot!

This was a tough start because I didn't really like one of the characters and it took a bit for the plot to get moving. But once things got going the mystery and political intrigue were great. And that character I didn't like at the beginning turned out to have the best character arc of the book. She had me in tears by the end. A really lovely and amazing book.

I don't tend to read this genre, but picked the book up on a whim. I admit the first 100 pages were a bit of a struggle, lots of worldbuilding and character intros to get through, I wasn't sure if I'd even get to the end. But then I was hooked. Definitely worth a shot if any part of the blurb appeals to you (the animals were by far the best part)

A lot of good discussion topics in this one and interesting characters and story, but a little too much sexual content for my taste.

I have loved all the books in this series, and when I heard this was going to be released I was so excited to dive back into this world. I was not overly thrilled with the multiple POVs but after getting to the middle of the book it started to make sense why so many POVs were necessary. It’s a slow start for sure but it does wind up paying off in the end. Worth the read.
