This book was ok. It wasn’t really an original concept, and it wasn’t done in an original way. Not to say it wasn’t engaging, but it just wasn’t unique. I also felt like the two points of view didn’t really mesh and I was taken out of the story a bit every time we switched.
Moderate: Sexual assault

This book is kind of nostalgia for the wave of mediocre dystopian YA fiction that followed the amazingness of The Hunger Games. And while I'm not sure mediocre is fair--the near future politics was kind of intriguing as well as the whole premise of twins in a one child family system--the book never really grabbed me and sucked me into the story.
When I hit the descriptions of even low level sexual assault in the middle of the book it made me realize I really didn't care enough about the story to want to wade through that.
TLDR: I wanted to like this book, but never really got interested in the story.
