There’s nothing not to like in this novel. Every character is so well fleshed out, and the plot unfolds so delightfully. I picked up this title with no expectations, and no knowledge about the story. I’m walking away feeling positively giddy. Nothing about this narrative is life changing, but it’s a premise that was executed very well, and I enjoyed every minute reading.

It was like watching a Wes Anderson film 🖤
I loved this book. Started it on my flight to Oregon and picked it up again on my flight home and finished it. Beautifully written and interesting characters.
So wonderfully weird - a quirky little gem of a book! Narrated by the dead townspeople in the cemetery, this book combines family drama with a mysterious disappearance, some absolutely bananas local history, and a community theatre production run by precocious 5th graders. What struck me early on is the humor, even as heavy subjects are tackled. The characters are a hoot, and their realness-slash-nonsensicalness is so enjoyable to read. Everything about this is charming, and the narration is wonderful.
i LOVED this one!! it's a unique story that combines genres and is told from the perspective of the people buried at the cemetery in this small town. highly recommend!
An amazing book. Probably the best example of American magical realism I have read. I cannot wait till her next book.

Easy, silly, light and quirky fun little read. Knowing it was based on a real place (and of course, being set in NH) made it extra-fun.
