I needed a good comfort read and turned to my old friends in Three Pines. It did the trick. This one wove together threads from the very first book to the present. Very satisfactory resolutions. If you have not read any of Louise Penny's books, start at the first and enjoy!

This one had some thriller vibes. How was it all going to work out, how were they going to save…everyone?! A more gentle mystery to start and then an interesting tale of 5 babies. Then utter chaos. I can see why some reviewers thought it would be the end of the series, things are so nicely wrapped up.

I have enjoyed nearly this entire series by listening to these on audio books, narrated by Ralph Cosham. I have read a few, but the vast majority were on audio book. Cosham's voice now feels like an old friend, and I look forward to spending time with him. Cosham won many awards for this audio book series. Google sadly shows Cosham has passed away a few years ago, and a new narrator finishes the series. *** This series must be read in order***
