Decided to give this a shot  based on recommendations even though some gave me pause. Several times I almost gave up and DNF'd but I held on. Found it dry and uninspiring. It may be more appealing for other readers though. This is only my opinion based on my reading likes. Will have to give it some time before deciding whether I'll read the second book in the series. Indications are its better than this one.

For a book that spent its entirety trying to convince us that the MMC wasn’t the asshole he was made out to be, his POVs were pretty asshole-ish, especially in the first few chapters.

I didn’t think I’d finish the book, but the characters mellowed out enough for me to get through it. Overall it was just OK. 

Pros: 
-Banter was pretty good starting at about the halfway point
-No huge misunderstanding which I appreciate and I feel like is common in the asshole with a heart of gold type books 

Cons:
-The body image thing got to be a little much for me- and I get it I really do, but I guess I didn’t connect with it the way it was intended. Both characters were just so focused on her body. 
-Lots of like unlikeable malicious side characters.
