Here I am thinking that Snow and Elle’s story was cute… Winter & Eve’s story said hold my beer.

This book is long and the burn is slowwwwww for a second chance romance.

I’m not going to complain because the character development was impeccable. Winter’s grief healing journey was incredible even when I felt so sad for him.

As for Eve, well I kind of had it out for her. She was driving me up a wall for the most part just because she was just so oblivious to other people’s feelings.

There is a lot to unpack in this book but the friendships and relationships formed and repaired throughout the book were amazing. 👀 I can’t wait for more stories in this universe.

I absolutely loved Winter and Eve’s story. It was a slow burn for sure, but it was all worth it in the end. This story is about grief, healing, love, therapy, forgiveness, self-reflection, and the importance of family. There are so many things going on, yet they all just come together like pieces of a puzzle. I love how this black romance story, in particular, emphasized not only the love between Winter and Eve, but also between each and every one of their loved ones. A.E. Valdez has a way with words and I must say that she has outdone herself with this one.
I also love how she briefly brought Acyn and Harlow into their story which just made it that much better
