A second chance romance with no cheating, finally!!! I had a wonderful cry, laugh, and time.
The development of the cast was wonderfully executed. The love was loving, the drama had me up when I should have been sleeping.

I was first introduced to Winter and Eve from Snow King Catches His Snowflake. It was nice to become more familiar with these two. Winter and Eve share a history with one another. Therefore, there is a lot to unpack between them. Thus, don't expect any fast burn romance between these two.
Nope, the romance is more of a very slow burn. In fact, their relationship is built on a more emotional side then physical one. Not to say that these two did not share some spicy moments together. For what these two went through, I felt very drawn to them both.
I do want to take a moment to mention Reign. He is the sweetest boy. My heart went out for him.
This book is the most serious one from A.E. It does touch on loss, and mental health besides love. A.E. does it again and makes me fall in love with her characters and their stories.

This book was so fulfilling. I’m usually on the fence about second chance romance but this was amazing! *chefs kiss* The amount of emotional growth between Eve and Winter was heartwarming to read. This love story was deep and full of life. I loved the found family aspect. Having a MMC show emotions openly and go to therapy >>>>>. I could’ve read 200 more pages no problem.
If you’re looking for a second chance romance this is it.

Compared to some of the other books in A.E. Valdez's bibliography, this one seemed to drag. I felt like it got really repetitive with Eve and Winter rehashing the mistakes of their past. Eve was also more than a little annoying for a good portion of the book.
That said, there were some great moments. The brothers' fight on the mountain was hilarious, and the scenes with Reign were some of my favorites (I actually felt like I cared more about that relationship than Winter and Eve's). The ending and epilogue made me super happy though. I might have squealed a bit internally at the cameo!

I enjoyed this one more than the first but damn was it a slow burn. There was a lot of angst and tension which helped but I definitely wanted to throttle both of them by the time they finally came together
