This was a quick and interesting read about what it takes to be a runner, and how those lessons can be used in your discipline as a writer, and even just living well.

Some inspirational stories and thoughts, but repetitive and choppy. Favorite quote, "I'll be happy if running and I can grow old together. There may not seem to be much logic in it, but it's the life I've chosen for myself."

Над бегунами часто посмеиваются, мол, эти на многое готовы, лишь бы жить подольше, но я думаю, что большинство людей бегают вовсе не поэтому. Им важно не продлить свою жизнь, а улучшить её качество. (с)

"I'll be happy if running and I can grow old together."

I can't believe it took me so many years to read this. Glad I purchased my own copy because I did a lot of underlining! There is certainly a common brain wave between distance runners.

I thought this book was uninteresting and unimaginative. The second star is only because I didn't have any trouble finishing it. It was very bland though and I considered giving it one star. Kind of a pointless book.

Not as engaging as his fiction, but still a good read.
