So much subtext in this children's book series! After a few books disappointed me toward the end of the last arc, the newest arc of this series offers something of a revival. I hope the next few books keep it up.

I enjoyed this entry in the series. There is a good central mystery that Cricket is trying to solve with some very huge stakes, but I also felt that the rest of the plot outside of this was sort of weak or moved in rather odd starts and stops.
