This is a good quick little horror story that follows Lucas as he makes the somewhat naive decision to run away from home in an attempt to keep his parents together. He then decides its a good idea to get into a strangers car (as you do), which of course doesn't end all that well as he finds himself waking up in a strange house, handcuffed to a bed. The story is fairly well paced and easy to follow and the backstory of the Anderson is interesting and shows that they've been at this for a while and yes the ending was a little predictable it was still well executed (pardon the pun).

Suspenseful, twisty, fast-paced and thrilling. This is a quick read at only 100 odd pages with twists and turns, you will feel quite creeped out when you read Mahouse but I felt it was missing something, but good enough read to get into the creepy and spooky vibes.

The book itself didn't really get me. I wasn't amazed by the book. But the ending I actually didn't see coming.

Madhouse is a nice and quick read and the plot was engaging at kept me turning that page. It was a really good premise but it isn't without it scenes of gore and torture, which some might not like.
