This was a great ending to an absolutely fantastic series. It was a long book, taking its time building stories around the characters, more so that I would have expected an editor to leave in if this hadn't been the crew's final chapter.
Pretty mediocre. This could have been the first 50 pages and last 50 pages. A lot of stuff in the novel takes up space and offers little in return. Also, predicted the ending. Seemed the only way for it to go after the appearance of the ring gates.
It’s been 10 years I’ve been loving this series, and it’s over now.

What a series! 75% though this book, I had no idea how the series could possibly be wrapped up by the end. I’m still undecided on whether I found it satisfying, but it’s certainly sufficient.
I think that the conflict in this book grew to be too big for me to adequately comprehend. At first, it was terrifying, and then I couldn’t grasp it anymore, and so I stopped reacting to it as much, I think. As such, I think I found some of the earlier books to be more engaging.
I’m particularly happy with how Alex got wrapped up. Good on him 🥲
