I found this book to be a fairly mixed bag, with some really fantastic bits and some parts (mostly involving either a lot of pointless violence or navel-gazing) that left me cold. Averaging out to 3.5 stars. I did very much like the ending, for itself and in the context of the series as a whole.

That was very certainly different from what I expected. It was a definitive ending for sure though. Can't believe this series is done now.

I am so sad now. I rode this wave all the way from Leviathan Wakes to Leviathan Falls, 5,062 pages later. Most of the journey has been amazing. Great writing. Action. Hard sci-fi nerdiness. All the good stuff. I was excited for the big finale, and it felt more like it was just 528 pages of falling action from the rest of the series. It was predictable and uneventful. This is the last book, and the TV series isn't continuing, so now I'm totally bummed that the journey is over.
