I liked where almost everyone ended their stories, but something about the getting there was lacking. Maybe not enough time paying off the themes of the series until the very end - so much of this book is what ultimatel feels like minutia. It's a genuinely good ending to the series, but not a great one.

Bit of a drop in the series. Doesn’t have the classic building of tension then suddenly hitting the gas for about 100 or so pages. Tanaka’s chapters were my favorites and boy howdy did I hate her. Endings are hard. Very good series, glad I read it, but it did kinda just fell flat.
I burned through the last 4 Expanse books in more or less a month and was genuinely sad to see them end. A little annoyed at how good they are, honestly. This one had the additional hurdle of trying to describe something indescribable, but handled it as well as I've seen anyone handle it.
...I just love them all so much.

Actually cried on a bus reading the last few chapters as this little family got dismantled and everyone was where they needed to be. Jim just quietly deciding he has to be the one to save (literally) everyone. Surprise guest star: Miller. Naomi, heartbroken but returning to Sol to help rebuild. Alex and the Roci (the real OTP of this series) flying off together so he can go be a better grandfather than he was a father. And Amos returning to Earth to protect it for 1000 years. Of course it's Amos who keeps going. Of course....I just love them all so much.
This book series was too good. I can’t stop thinking about it. It has so much depth in it. Ugh. I will be reading this series again
