BJK wasn’t my high school tennis hero, but her autobiography was so inspiring. I revisited my tennis playing days, now knowing much more of the behind the scenes story.
Billie was tireless in her pursuit of equality for women. She was such a hard worker toward her dreams. And I loved hearing how even at 51 she continued to grow in her mental well-being by getting help for her eating disorder.
The end may get a bit preachy, but hey she’s in her 70s and has a rich life to share with the world. It’s an autobiography after all.

WOW. What a read! BJK is such an inspiration - for her fierce determination on the tennis court and across society in her fight for equality. Such an incredibly well-written autobiography.

This is my favorite autobiography I’ve ever listened to/read! Seriously so good. I loved learning about Billies tennis career and all that she’s done as an activist! I was hooked from start to finish. This woman is incredible! I can see how this book might not be as interesting to someone who doesn’t like tennis, but lucky for me I do like tennis!!
