Shattered Realms #2
YA Fantasy series
This series is a spin-off of Seven Realms series. Set about 25 years in the future. I feel like you dont have to have read Seven realms but seven realms gives a background and I also feel seven realms reads a little younger, not by much though.
So far this series is packed with new characters and adventures. Both books are different characters that in some ways connect to the ones in book 1 but are in a different part of the world. It is nice to see what events look like in a different part of this world. All the characters are of differing view points as well which is interesting. Though book 2 was a bit slower going than book 1. Book 1 was more action and Book 2 seems to be more politics/ideas. Can't wait to see what happens in the next. Wondering when/how all the characters will come together eventually and how the world will shape up with this next generation of characters.

I am a little concerned about how many pov's there are and if I will be able to follow. But all the new characters that have been introduced are lovable.

I was hoping to enjoy this book as much as the books in the original series, but like the previous book, the characters didn’t seem as memorable, and the story didn’t seem as compelling as the Seven Realms series.
