Roarke becomes more human than ever. It was hard to imagine this entire book place over a mere days. Lack of sleep, tension, everyone on edge and hurling at one another. It was a page turner to the very end.

This is a well written, easy to read book. I’m not a fan of these types of books, but I did enjoy it & laughed out loud at some points! Characters are awesome

I do NOT like this one. Choosing not to reread it!

I was forced to read this as it was my back-up vacation book and the other two ended up being too similar to read back-to-back.

It was definitely heavy on the dreaded "Roarke is intimately involved/ Eve is the focus of the killer/ police department mysteriously allows Roarke to serve as de facto cop because he "demands" it", which annoys me.

BUT the story was a good one.

I've come to realize that my problems with these books all stem from the fact that I was crime novels with interesting characters, not romance novel with side-bar crimes. Oh well.

On to Sookie Stackhouse. . .
