It‘s too difficult for me to understand. I‘ll try again when I‘ve read a few easier classics

The writing is excellent when it based in description. It's a classic for a reason and I'll think about it for a long time. But I didn't like any of characters which is the point. But still for reading for "leisure" it is not for leisure.

This book delves deep into the complexities of human emotions, set against the bleak and untamed landscape of the Yorkshire moors. The narrative unfolds through the eyes of Mr. Lockwood, who encounters the enigmatic Heathcliff, the brooding master of Wuthering Heights. The story then retraces Heathcliff's tumultuous life, his intense and destructive love for Catherine Earnshaw, and the intergenerational repercussions of their relationship.

The novel is renowned for its gothic elements and its exploration of themes such as passion, revenge, and the supernatural. Brontë's use of intricate narrative structures and her vivid portrayal of the setting are commendable. However, the book's dark and somber tone, as well as the often cruel and violent behavior of its characters, can be off-putting for some readers.

For those who find beauty in the stormy and the stark, **Wuthering Heights** offers a profound commentary on the nature of love and obsession. Yet, for readers who prefer lighter, more uplifting narratives, the novel's pervasive sense of despair and the flawed humanity of its characters may be difficult to endure.

In summary, while **Wuthering Heights** is a masterpiece that captures the raw emotions and the wildness of nature, it is not a book that caters to all tastes. Its dreary atmosphere and intense character dynamics make it a challenging read that requires patience and a willingness to engage with the darker aspects of the human psyche.
