Maybe this is the most relevant book I've read this 2019.

It's real and it's a statement against injustice and racism. It's also a shoutout to all those community-based activists that fight every day for their neighborhoods

The hate u give es una lectura muy necesaria, un libro que te estruja el corazón, te genera impotencia, te hace cuestionar tus privilegios, te deja reflexiones y te enseña.

Increíble historia.

I'll continue the hype. Should be required reading.

"The Hate U Give" is about a girl that must choose to remain silent or speak up against injustice.
Through Starr's eyes , we don't only see Khalil's story. We also see the story of other POC that, like Khalil, don't get justice for what happen to them.
We must remember their names.

What a book! There are so many reasons why everyone will be glad they read this book. It grabs you from the first page. The characters are complex just like real people. And as you read it, you just know how things are going to turn out but you get so into the characters that you need to see it happen with your own eyes. (In my case, barely putting the book down to get there as fast as possible.) Because this sh!t happens everyday. This stuff is real. Angie Thomas has given a voice to the people who are living it every day, and I'm so grateful for that.
