Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James, a Kindle book I read while I was meeting the boyfriend's parents near Yellowstone National Park. He never ceased to refer to me paging through it as being 'looking at your porn,' but I stuck with it to the bitter end, wanting to see what happened to the loving dom/sub couple.

Not much at all happened to them. I spent so much time scanning the book page by page, pressing the page-forward button, wanting to grasp on and find connection with the content, but it just didn't happened. Christian is virtually emasculated and a beautiful pillar of mommy and daddy issues while Anastasia is still in utter disbelief at her good luck and Christian's tolerance of her in spite of all of the people who have something against them and Charlie Tango. And Christian's 'Rules,' a massive policy plot point in the first book is seen little to nowhere here, a testament to how Ana's love has piddled its way sweetly into Christian's heart and dungeon/playroom. Drivel, pure drivel.

Fine in the beginning then is just a mess.

I enjoyed reading the series and actually, if she managed to squeeze out another 50 Shades book, I'm sure I'd pick it up. This book had too many endings and too many subplots, though, and I felt like they wrapped things up too early and then they would randomly resurface. And I have really grown to dislike the term "my sex" as a euphemism. It's incredibly corny.

Christian : No, quédate!

Me volvía loco.

This is, by far, the worst of the trilogy.  While the plot carries along, and makes sense to the series- the novelty and spice is gone.  The accidental pregnancy turned fight trope is- ick.  The "we dont know how to communicate" feels childish and obvious, and the Grey characterization gets artifically deep, which feels a bit like trauma porn.

I don't know why this book exist...the first 100 pages are so dull.
Not that I know a lot about S&M and I had to Google often to understand what was going on, but I really don't like the story arc of the lady (I don't the flip remember her name) who 'helped' Christian and then turned psycho and I don't like the treatment of the all the reasons Christian is the way he is. Why can't he just like doing it because he likes to? And, I really thought that woman would become a friend, not a jealous old lady with nothing except her money and boy toys.

Plusses:
Um...er...there's that house that sounds just amazing.

Minuses:
What the heck was that honeymoon about???
What the heck was that ending about???
Ana is the most static character ever!
And, I am done with the Britishisms...why are people from America living in Seattle talking like they live in the West End!!!???

OK, so for all my dislike of what these books have done to mainstream America, I couldn't help, but read them and like them and like talking about them. The characters aren't roll models, the sex is pretty much used to propel the plot, but, if you told me you were going to read them I wouldn't stop you.

And, I'd want to dish about it.

Ok, well I only read this book because I can't leave a series unfinished, it seems. I didn't have a moral issue with this book but I did find it incredibly frustrating and not necessary. It was just a merry-go-round of eating, minor conflict, resolution of said conflict, sex, and then random acts of mediocrity. For instance, was it completely necessary to read 5 pages of her washing his hair and then shortly after cutting his hair? Was that pertinent in some way? I'm glad to be done with this series and it's uselessness.

Samlet konklusion:
