Liked the background stuff, still dont think these books are as great as everyone else thinks. I think the events that happen have poor flow.

I am so glad to be done with this trilogy. It is so poorly written I was cringing the entire time. It's sad to think that books like this are now popular and making best seller lists.
I've finally finished all three and I really enjoyed them. I personally felt that Fifty Shades of Grey was the best of the three. It was different and exciting and shocking. I've read that these books are being compared to the Twilight series and I'm just not sure why. It might be because I'm 36 years old, but I didn't see any comparison. The Twilight series was, I think, for teenagers and I believe that teenagers should be kept far away from this trilogy. Also, the Twilight series was about fantasy characters (vampires and werewolves) and these novels were about regular people with irregular lifestyles. I commend Ms. James for having the courage to write these novels, they were fantastic. I had a love-hate relationship with the characters. There were certain things I loved about Christian, but I hated the way he continued to boss Ana around after they were married. I understant that it was a throw-back from his previous lifestyle, but after marriage they should have been equals. I enjoyed Anastasis's character for the most part, but she was an enabler to Christian's bossiness. I've never known a woman to be so afraid of making her husband mad that she questions her every move. This was a great trilogy and I've reccommended it to many people, but on the flip side, I don't think I would read it again. Once was enough.
Same sex, different day. Lightly entertaining but fairly predictable.
