So much to cringe at!
This book is an account of those whose lives were touch by NXIVM: exploited women living in fear of blackmail; brainwashed and power hungry women drinking cucumber water; and their charismatic, sex-crazed, and pervy leader Keith Raniere.
Note: there’s slave/master language used in a flippant and gross way. Also there’s a lot of talk of weight loss, eating disorders, and calorie counting.

This book was so good. The way that Berman pieces the story together is really easy to follow and I felt like I got ever detail. I have no idea how I missed this in the news! But now I'm tracking everything about it. Recommend for folx who enjoy true crime, books about cults/cults in disguise.
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Body horror, Confinement, Emotional abuse, Fatphobia, Toxic relationship, Trafficking, and Abortion
