This quick story sneaks up on you and BAM smacks you right up side the head. Bravo!

3.5 stars.

I do want more of Gregor Xane's writing.

Short, pulpy fun. Effective, evocative writing, very vivid and visual. And a twist ending (which I'm not sure I totally understood LOL, but enjoyed nevertheless). Still, this little diddy is a definite recommended read that's available for FREE from your preferred book retailer. This flavourful free taste has only whetted my appetite for more Xane.

Becky, that little minx, turned me onto this story tonight with her wily reviewing skills

I liked this quite a bit, and the ending was an uppercut the kind the main character had likely taken hundreds of throughout his life.

A cute, quick read that proves a good amuse-bouche for the author's writing style. I will look more into Xane's writing...

You're reading along and everything is cool and then, BAM! Punch in the face!
This was a well written short story about being yourself. I highly recommend it.

I read this a couple of weeks ago and forgot to add it to my list.

As for a review.......I'll have to read this again, probably several times and there's a very real possibility that I still won't know exactly what happened.

All I can say is.......hey Gregor......WTF!?

A short little story, it seems something has gone down, the main character is riding along on his motorbike and comes across an accident, but no all is what it seems.

It doesn't matter what you think is happening, you'll be wrong as the story gets turned on it's head.

Entertaining stuff.

You know why I gave a horror shorty four stars? Because Xane understands the strengths of the form he's using to tell you this story. Most short fiction I've consumed on my Kindle has been satisfying enough but relied on something outside itself to finish me off, so to speak.

This story doesn't rely on one damned thing except the format of the short story to get your response. I like that. It's a smile. Xane doesn't need my kudos, he's got fans, but if you're a noob to the horror shorty world this one's a good gateway drug.

Ben Coburn has been in many B-rated horror movies. With his large build and less than handsome face he has been regulated to playing the big baddies of the big screen. He spends his days waiting, always waiting until the day he decides he’s not going to wait any more.

First off, I’ll say that this is well-written. Just because I didn’t understand what the hell was going on does not detract from that point at all. Because I’m not typically into horror, I have the feeling I’m missing something big and that’s my fault. It’s not the first time I was lost reading this genre and I’m sure it won’t be the last. But I’ll keep trying. The ending did freak me out. Didn’t see that coming at all. Two thumbs up for that.
