AHHHH

What a great way to end our journey.

Spoiler
I'm not sure what else to say other than that Piper finally did something that I approved of... like, impressed me.

Okay so I totally loved this book just as much as The Son of Neptune, which really holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons. None of which I will list here

There was a lot going on, which we have come to expect from a Rick Riordan book. Sometimes I get lost and confused in all the craziness and I have to read a plot summary to get myself back on track, which for me, is a downer, but I'm sure it's not a problem with others so it doesn't affect how I feel about this book.

The seven demigods come together to defeat Gaea. Well, them PLUS the Greeks and the Romans.

I was absolutely in love with the amount of Nico in this book. Of course, I rolled my eyes at all the romance stuff, partially because I think it was a little hastily stuck into the series. HOWEVER THAT BEING SAID
I am happy with the choice that it was stuck in there. You feel me
(Will Solace = take solace in a person = will heal you bc son of Apollo = Nico very broken = Nico needs to be healed. EHHH I GOT U)

I also very much liked Nico and Reyna's relationship. They were very opposite and they worked well together. However, even though they were different, they appeared the same (broken, one sister that keeps them together [even though Bianca is dead, Hazel took her place in the end], giving their strength to keep everyone together and working towards a common goal).

I wanted Frank to shine more. I feel like he and Hazel were so strong in the Son of Neptune, which is part of the reason why I loved that book so much, and yet even though he became Praetor and was basically the BAMF, he didn't pull me in like he did then. Hazel too. I am always thirsty for more of her powers.

Also, Coach Hedge. 100 stars. I read a lot of reviews saying that Coach Hedge was super annoying and shouldn't have been in the series. Maybe because I am an adult reading this series, or maybe because my definition of "millenial" is different than yours, but I believe Coach Hedge was a lynchpin and honestly he deserved to be in this series. So maybe when everyone grows up they will see hey, maybe they did need an adult presence on the Argo II. And maybe he was cool after all.

Octavian died praise be

I could read a series of five books based on each of the new characters. Frank and Hazel could have their own series like Percy and Annabeth, and Jason and Piper...can go live until they are old and they have the grandchildren like Jason had in his vision. Even at the end, even with the adorable glasses, Jason failed to really IMPRESS on me like Percy did (since they are somewhat the same and he has one of the Big Three's powers). Piper is the same (equivalent to Annabeth but didn't make me want to read more about her).

Now what?

I have nothing to obsess about.

My life is over.

“@alissamaione_: just finished BoO & don't know how to feel about it yet...it was so good but I also want to punch you” I get that a lot.

Even though there was hardly any percy and annabeth I loved this final book in the series!! I loved getting reyna and nico's perspectives, and I also really enjoyed seeing how much piper has grown from the start!
