I feel so embarrassingly seen by Coryell’s lovesick (and desperate) protagonists. Red herrings used effectively, though I mostly saw the ending coming. Still loved it!

I didn't read the synopsis at all before grabbing this and it honestly paid off. The opening with the birthday dinner??? Jaw on the floor tbh; I was laughing but also so angry for the protagonist. When this became more mystery than anything else I was kind of hooked? Honestly guys I didn't even know what genre this book was, the title alone got me.

A bit bland in places and I wasn't the hugest fan of the narrator's voice (not the audiobook narrator, just the writing style of the protag's personality) but overall this was entertaining and a perfect blend of lighthearted dark humor and mystery.
