Wow, I did not expect that story from a debut author! “Always” is sweet, swoony, and has just the right touch of angst.
This story is beautifully written, I really liked how expressive Jin’s feelings and emotions were and my chest ached at times when he got overwhelmed. The romance between Jin and Kepler developed so naturally and I loved that there was no drama or big revelations - just two guys needing to get out of their own heads and admit their feelings towards each other.
There are some darker themes in the story, both Jin and Kepler have dealt with difficulties in their past, and for Jin the struggles are still very much present. It’s the kind of story that could have gotten very fluffy, but thanks to some of the sub plots it has a great balance between sweet and dark/angsty.
The characters overall are interesting and unique, and I’m so curious about this series, I especially hope for the story of Jin’s brother Shin. He doesn’t come across as the greatest guy in this story, but I feel like he has his reasons and I’d love to read more about him.
Loren Leigh is definitely an author I’ll read more of and I recommend you to pick up this book the next time you want something sweet and swoony but not fluffy.

Liked this so much after the first time I read it that I emailed the author… Could I be any more of a disaster?

"So, ‘how long has it been going on?’ I’ll just distill it down to one word.” His eyes warm to a light gray. “Always.”

This is the first book by a new author. I absolutely loved it, it's well written with a great storyline. This book had a lot of longing and feelings with great MC's. This book grabbed me from the beginning and I just had to finish it in one sitting, even though I prefer dual POV's, I did not feel like I missed anything.. I loved the characters and everything else here, I can't wait to see where the series goes from here. This is definitely one of my repeat reads, the emotions it brings is just so realistic you feel like you are there with your own friends waiting to see what happens.
