Charming book, easy to read, and both informative and allows a glimpse into the life of the author.

This book is beautiful. I am biased because I think nothing is more beautiful than the natural world on our Earth, which this book features through vignettes. We get to see the author's life through the plants and animals that literally and metaphorically shaped some key memories. Some of her chapters were extremely relatable for me, most of them made me reflect on my life experiences and the realities of our world's biodiversity crisis. The final chapter hit home and made me weep. What can we do to get back to nature, to reestablish that connection with that which we come from? It is a critical question I ask every day.
