This is one of my favorite Tessa Bailey books. Good spice, and I enjoyed the MMC's character arc. As always in a Tessa Bailey book, you can expect at least one almost public spicy scene. I will say that those scenes always give me a ton of anxiety as I think someone will just happen upon them while they are making all of that noise, but it hasn't happened yet.
Those 5 star ratings deceived me. I did not enjoy this one.
Travis was the worst: jealous, possessive, controlling and objectifying the main character constantly. Don’t even get me started on the overuse of “baby girl” and the obsession with Georgie being a virgin.
Unfortunately none of the characters, both main and side, were very likable or fleshed out enough for me to care about them. I didn’t exactly dislike the main character Georgie but she got boring and annoying quickly and I just couldn’t really get invested in her character.
The story never fully grabbed me, maybe because nothing really happened ever. It picked up a little at the end but the “grand gesture” was too over the top and made me roll my eyes so hard. It’s what annoyed me the most because Travis had been talking constantly about how he didn’t wanna get married and have children and then he did a 180 and proposed to Georgie (who is 23) because he realized he’s in love with her? How about trying to be a good boyfriend and be in a healthy relationship (his only relationship) first? It does fit right in with him wanting to own her though so there’s that. /rant
Actually, most of the dialogue made me cringe and/or roll my eyes. This book was lacking in several areas but for a story written by a woman in 2019 I was surprised how this seemed to be way behind its time. Not for me, thanks.

First of all I adore Georgie. She is like a sunshine in this book. Travis obviously has some traumas and him calling her "baby girl" through the book was not my taste. Annoying. Every time I read it, it bothered me.
Same goes for "two bats". I mean, really?
As other reviews said it, don't let this cute and sweet cover fool you. This may be a romance novel but it definitely has explicit sex scenes, dirty talk and a lot more. They are written very well though.
I loved the "club" part of the book, friendship between the girls, especially knowing Tessa gave Rosie and Bethany their own books and stories, that I am very much looking forward to read.
It maybe looks like it's such a shallow book with love story and sex scenes, but honestly I really like the other side of the book, that gave space to family, friends, problems that people carry within themselves, giving each other support in chasing your dreams and evolving as a person.

I absolutely loved it, but baby girl as a nickname is a no go for me and because he used it so often it gets a .05 deduction. I wish that we got to see more of his childhood. That probably stems from me liking damaged men so i’m not going to analyze it any further. I loved when he stood up for her against her family. Which reminds me, her mom is a great wing woman but at the same time if my mom was that involved I would feel hella awkward. Also, I don’t like her brother or his wife in the slightest. I did like Bethany and the hole Just Us League.
I’m excited to read about Rosie and Dominic because I’m nosy and I want to know their issues. At the same time I am worried about it because it seems to be everyone’s least favorite out of the three.

3.5 ⭐️: I mean, this was okkkkaaaayyy. It got way overhyped on Booktube (like many things) and it killed the enjoyment for me a bit. I genuinely hated how the MC was called “baby girl” by the love interest. It was so cringe. I thought there were enough cute moments to push it to a 3 star and the dirty talk kicked it up another half star.
I loved Travis, what a sweetheart. The ending was predictable and felt a tad rushed but it was still a super cute story.
