Fix Her Up

This was SO good, stay up til 2am reading when I have to work at 6am good. Borrowed from the Libby app and would love to have my own to read again.
Georgie and Travis were adorable with just the right amount of tension, and spice- whew!
The older brother and wife were annoying. And I hate “the break up at the end bc of a miscommunication only to get right back together” trope but nevertheless, 5 stars.
fast-paced

The male sexual dominance is slightly disturbing. And why is the female main character a virgin while the male main character has slept with 'hundreds" of women? It feels archaic and sexist to me

what can i say i love a baseball player

DNF. Absolutely abhorred this.

The unrequited childhood crush, hometown nostalgia, and crushing sports dreams in this book by Tessa Bailey. I’ve never read this author before, but I’m a sucker for off limits little sister/older brother’s best friend fake romance plot. There were surprises and steamy escapades to keep me entertained.

lighthearted

The story starts with the FMC throwing ice cream all over a sleeping MMC while simultaneously complaining people don't take her seriously. Starts getting good at around 30%, but I feel they become very different characters very quickly without solid reason. I'm far from a prude, but the smut felt vulgar in a non-sexy way. Didn't care for any of the characters. End was good.

This is the kind of book I would of rated a little higher a few years back, especially when I first got into romance, reading it now makes me want to roll my eyes at a few aspects….. but it’s still cute.
