This was a big change from the first book, but man did I love it. I love book that are so different than the previous ones in the series and this hit! You definitely still had things that were the same: romance, comedy, spice, banter.... but then you added other things like a sex club and him helping her find herself again and I just fell in love.
Okay you got a cute cat daddy, Calder, and a Fierce Lady, Dakota. I loved how there were so many different mini tropes all in here, but they didn't overpower a previous one. You had a take on enemies to lovers, forced proximity, small town romance, sex exploration to name a few. I had such a good time reading this book and will defiantly have to get a trophy of this later.
OMG the AUDIOBOOK.... YES PLEASE! You have Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon that did such a good job. Their narration brought this book off the pages and made me think I stepped into this book. I cannot express how much I loved this book and cant wait to keep reading this series.
One of my favorite Quote was: "If you're intent on a label, you can call us enemies with benefits."
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Liked this one a lot. FMC and MMC know each other, run into each other at a sex club, stuff happens! I liked the protective vibes coming off the MMC and I liked how the FMC did not back down!

Review:
Whew. This was a hot one. I enjoyed this story, but I was not prepared for the s/e/x club and descriptions of intimacy outside of the MC couple. This plot point was part of the empowerment of the FMC post divorce. While I can appreciate the empowerment, if you are not prepared for details of it, it was a little much. Outside of that the chemistry between the FMC and MMC was great even for their antagonist relationship in the beginning. This story is about loving yourself for yourself, not for anyone else. It's about living your life the way you want to and not to meet the expectations of others.
Summary:
Calder and Dakota have hated each other for years after Dakota blames Calder for messing up her home renovation 7 years ago. In the present, they are forced to share a room in Mexico for a wedding (meddling by the niece again). They have a one night stand to get the tension out.
After the trip, they enter into a spicy lessons agreement, with Calder helping Dakota find herself after her messy divorce. As they spend more time together and the items get crossed off, they start to spend more time together outside of the lessons.
With the final task almost complete, a surprise run in lets history and feelings out into the open.

This was just ok for me. It was smut heavy and plot light. I liked both characters but I didn't really see anything between them except sexual chemistry. At the end of their arrangement, I would not have been surprised if they walked away without feelings, but I guess they did catch feelings?! I just didn't feel it.
After Calder's confession, I feel like they were good together but I didn't feel much leading to the confession.
I'm also had a hard time figuring out Dakota. Sometimes she seemed heartbroken over her divorce and other times she didn't seem to care. Like she would say things like Calder showed her what real love was but then also wasn't sure she ever wanted to get married again. I realize people can be complicated but her complexities weren't discussed which just made it difficult to follow.
