I really love Amy Daws’ writing, it’s always absolutely hilarious.. but unfortunately, I think the actual story just may not have been for me. The two MCs were just really immature towards each other over something that happened seven years prior & if there’s one thing I just can’t get behind, it’s adults acting like children in a romantic capacity.

*There are nine-ish spicy scenes in Seven Year Itch. I’ve included the pages/chapters at the bottom of this review.*
SYI starts out with the entire Fletcher family heading to Mexico for Trista and Wyatt’s wedding, so Calder is on the hunt for a plus one. He’s a self proclaimed no relationship kind of guy, so he’s just looking for someone on a dating app.. only to find out his niece Everly is messing with his profile. Why? She’s got plans of her own to set Calder up with his long time “enemy”, Dakota (Everly’s step-mom’s best friend).
When they arrive in Mexico, it’s to find out that one of the rooms is uninhabitable and now Calder and Dakota have to share a palapa. Cue a ton of name calling and immature behavior about who sleeps where, etc. All because they’ve held on to this seven year grudge.
One thing leads to another and they sleep together. When they get back it turns into this “enemies with benefits” situationship. They visit a sex club a few times but each time ended in a showdown of some kind. One so bad that they started using each other’s painful pasts to throw insults at each other. That was really the breaking point for me.
Will I continue with this series? Absolutely. I loved the first book and again, love Amy’s writing style, it’s just this particular kind of story that doesn’t appeal to me.

**I’m being incredibly generous with this spice count because 2-3 of the “scenes” were like 1-2 paragraphs. Very quick. Do with that what you will!**
