I liked this little bit of fluff and now want to find out about the other band members' stories. Jess sounded like a great person - I would like to be her friend :)
This is completely different to what I usually read, I don’t usually like romances about rock stars, actors or authors, I find that usually the author gets a little excited about their music or what not, and I get bored. Of course every girl fantasizes about meeting a famous rock star and being swept of their feet.
Jess meets Johnny in a cafe where he buys her a coffee and neither one of them can get each other out of their minds. Jess’s best friend convinces her to take a night off and go to a concert with her, when Jess realizes that Johnny is in fact the lead singer of Chasing Cross. He invites her backstage and they fall in love, and this starts a wild and passionate affair.
Karolyn really makes Johnny and Jess believable, although she does write a lot about music and writing, I found that it was a perfect balance and didn’t get boring. All Access is a fast paced romance that is perfect for a cold night in.
I will be reading and reviewing the rest in the series as we lead up to the release of book 4 in the Brothers of Rock series.

Ummmm, I love rock star romance stories, I really do. But I felt this story was pretty rushed, and the love part of it came on too fast. I know that sometimes characters fall in love at first sight, but all things considered this story was a bit too smooth-going for my liking. I seem to prefer stories of hard-won love, as people from different worlds struggle to fit their lives together without falling apart. The only hiccup these guys had was resolved within an hour or so of it happening, so...yeah, I wouldn't call it a satisfying read.
But still, I appreciate the fact that there was a love of music woven into the book. That is how a good rock star story should be!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this series. I'd read the Boys of Downcrash books by this same author (under the name London Casey) and I loved them. I wasn't disappointed. I found Johnnie to be sweet - not what I expected for what I thought would be a "bad boy of rock" romance - and I don't feel that it detracted from the story a bit. Jess wasn't a shrinking violet either - she had a career she loved and appeared emotionally well put together (completely refreshing).
You'd think that this would make for a boring story. In spite of there being no huge conflict between them, Johnnie and Jess worked for me. They had issues, they worked through them using compromise, and actually behaved like adults. I was even entranced by the other characters. Except Peter. All I could think about when I'd read a scene with him in it, was Paul Giamatti in Rock of Ages. Again, that's a high five to Ms. James. It takes talent to craft characters that you dislike, and I definitely had a creepy reaction to Peter.
All around a great beginning to the series, and I've picked up the subsequent installments of the Chasing Cross saga to see where Karolyn James takes us.

Can't beat a free book.
Actually kept me interested. Now I might have to read the rest of the series.

If you like hoaky
it wasn't a bad little story, there were a few typos. But, the worst part (for me) was all the cheesy lines, a few are to be expected with books of this genre, but this book exceeded the cheese quota.
