I found Lina and Maggie's stories compelling but there wasn't enough time for Sloane's story. Her story felt the weakest and the least fleshed out. There was also a twist that has to do with the relationship between her and her brother but it was completely sudden. There was no foreshadowing or leading to that particular conclusion. Lina didn't really get a proper ending compared to the other two stories, but the book was so easy to get into.

I'm honestly not sure what I just read. It was a book I was very interested in as I wanted to know what happened to the subjects, but in general it wasn't what I expected. As a whole, there is a lot of sexual abuse that occurs here. Maggie is groomed by her teacher, Sloan has sex with a whole lot of people to appease her husband, and Lina is raped by 3 dudes in high school. So this is not for someone who struggles with the heavy subject matter. It also touches on suicide and suicide ideation, so be forewarned.
I thought the writing was top notch and did enjoy that aspect of it. No real resolution at the end and since it's non-fiction, maybe there is not suppose to be a resolution.

I didn’t understand the point of this? It was certainly interesting but it just ends… and I’m not sure what I was supposed to get from it.
