This book was definitely a good addition for world building and a sweet romance, it was definitely one of the more somber books but I really liked Cassandra and she was perfect for Wulf.

Yes another addictive addition!
It was truly Incredible how Kenyon after making us despise the Daimons and Appolites turn out heads completely around to start sympathizing with them as we see the ultimate torture they go through and the choices they make, When Wolf goes to the doctors house i was in tears......
Some incredible new additions introduced to our Band of dark Hunters, Zareck (Still my favourite) made a guest appearance!
The story revolves around Viking Wulf and the Half Appolite Cassandra as they are thrown together to beat the Odds and save the world, throw in Acheron as the mystery that surrounds him, as a little more is revealed but still a guessing game as to who he is at this point....

I actually teared up at one point. Acheron continues to be an interesting enigma and much more is revealed about the world. Enemies to lovers who first come together in dreams. Very satisfying scenes with previous series heroes.

This book made me cry and laugh. It continues the dark hunter story and shows some of the characters in a new light. mostly just made me love them more.

In realtà non sono 4 stelline piene. Sarebbero 3 e mezzo, perché non è esattamente uno dei miei preferiti della serie. Prima di tutto perché Wulf, come personaggio, mi ha colpito poco. L'ho trovato approssimato, poco definito sia nella descrizione fisica, sia in quella caratteriale che è comunque più significativa. Wulf ci appare come un Cacciatore Oscuro sentimentale ed estremamente legato alla sua famiglia a causa di una maledizione in base al quale ogni persona si dimenticherà di lui dopo solo 5 minuti. Solo i discendenti diretti dei suoi familiari sono immuni alla maledizione, con il risultato che Wulf ha fatto da patriarca immortale a un sacco di generazioni Tryggvasen. Se vogliamo il suo bisogno di contatto umano è un difetto e lo fa apparire leggermente moscio. Cassandra, al contrario, è più definita e presente e spicca di più rispetto a Wulf perché viene introdotto un nuovo lato nella trama generale della serie, ovvero gli Apollinei come razza e non solo come elemento sfuggente. Il secondo aspetto che non mi ha convinta del tutto è la quantità di informazioni nuove che vengono sparate senza che ci sia tempo e spazio per spiegarli, con il risultato che alla fine del romanzo succedono delle cose e non ci è dato sapere come e perché si risolvono. E' un po' come un minestrone ristretto, sempre molto buono e nutriente ma non molto soddisfacente al palato.
E' pur sempre un paranormal romance piacevole, leggero e apertamente senza pretese ed è per questo che l'ho apprezzato molto a prescindere dagli aspetti che non mi hanno convinta.
