This is beautifully written, but it boils down to a plotless "I hit opium too hard and now I know how the world ends." There's not much here beyond a nice ambient connection to the Dreamlands cycle.

Lovecraft really was a fantastic writer. The Crawling Chaos follows a man who's overdosed on opium, and sees some unsettling things happening on Earth. Apparently it is based on a dream of Winifred V. Jackson. I liked this one a lot!

While written as fiction, this very much could be describing an actual experience had by the author. Drugs like opium and hallucinogenics can truly take a person to other worlds, or see things in their own world in a whole new light. But still, don't do drugs :)

no monsters so no more stars tapi penggambaran doomsday-nya keren, agak ngingetin ke betapa imajinatifnya Semua Ikan di Langit.

Another Lovecraft tale, and this one I thought had a better title than story.
Pretty average fare, and pretty forgettable.
But Lovecraft has certainly being building up a canon of literature.
This is number #31 that I have read and I'm still under 10% of his collection that I purchased.

At last! A compelling dream sequence from Lovecraft. He wrote a believable story (thanks for its horror-ish beginning) with a truly ghastly imagination of a main character.
