Such a great story! It was fast paced, action packed with plenty of twists to keep me entertained and guessing! It's a story that once you start you can't stop reading! You want to know what will happen next! The story is unique and the main character was fun to follow. No spoilers here you'll have to read to find out all the good stuff this book holds! Thank you Rockstar Book Tours and Madison Lawson for sharing a great story with me!

Listened to the audiobook: The story was non-stop action, perfect for an audiobook listen. I also laughed at how Lanelle never apparently made her own food - everyone nicely kept making it for her. The Registration and it's politics is such a unique and interesting concept... really makes you think. I'm excited for the upcoming movie.

Also, while the book was 4 stars, I give 5 stars to the audiobook narrator, Kathleen McInerney. She was a blast to listen to and performed Lanelle's voice really well. I'll be checking out more of her audiobooks!

i think daniel carter is my favorite book boyfriend. brown hair and blue eyes and his undying love just make me melt.

i feel like the story was so relatable and the plot twists were amazing. i was literally gasping and shouting throughout the entire thing. i’m normally not a dystopian reader but the concept of the registration was so fun and unique. i really enjoyed following lynell on her little two week journey and going through all the ups and downs of her life being completely turned on its head.

This story has an interesting premise. It played out just a little too smoothly for me. There was conflict and some surprises, but overall, it was fairly ... uneventful? And the ending was a bit too ambiguous for me. I won't give spoilers, but I wish I knew more of what was to happen after the events in the book. It left me both with wanting more and being happy that I was finished reading. And, I have to admit, I skimmed a bit of the ending and don't feel that I missed much.

Talk about a page turner… this book showed up and so quickly pulled me into the world of Lynell. I found myself holding on and eager to see where her story would take her. With themes of family, trust, and right versus wrong, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat while also making you think on a deeper level. My only complaint was I would have liked to dive deeper into the characters a little more, rather than the quick back and forth. But all in all, I was sucked in so quickly and loved the dystopia created.

I really enjoy reading speculative books because, many times, the truth is buried somewhere in the book or at least one viewpoint of the world we are living in.

Imagine being able to kill one person with no repercussions. Who would you want to eliminate and why? Lynell Mize has her sights set on an abusive stepfather. No one would blame her since he does not appear to be a worthwhile individual. Now imagine you are there to register who you want to take out, and you hear your name. That has to be very unsettling. What do you do? If you can elude the person for two weeks, they can't kill you after that time, and they have lost their opportunity. I know I would try and escape or hide from that person and pray for the best.

We learn a lot about Lynell during this time once she hears her name and tries to avoid being caught by the person that registered her. However, we learn that multiple people have registered her, and she is being hunted. Who does she trust? Can she trust anyone? When the truth came out about why she was being hunted, it blew my mind! I admired Lynell even more at that point and everything she endured to try and uncover the truth.

Lynell is the type of woman that I think many of us hope that we can be - strong, intelligent, and willing to protect those that she loves. There is a slight mystery along with the suspense of this book. I figured out part of it but still didn't know how it all would come together in the end.

I was also rooting for Lynell and Danny's relationship. Would they be able to get back on track? Some secrets come out that could make or break their relationship.

This was a riveting story, and now I'm curious what the movie will be like and if it will live up to the book.

We give this 5 paws up.

If you had one opportunity to legally kill one person would you use it? Lynell has decided to use her opportunity to get justice and prevent further harm. As she is waiting in line to register she hears someone registering her. She has no idea why but is determined to live through the next two weeks and be free. What follows is a great story that I read in one day! I could not put this book down. The blurb is so interesting and the cover is beautiful. What the author does is write a suspenseful novel full of twists and turns. The story is told in the present with brief memories of the past. I love strong female protagonists and Lynell fits this description perfectly. She is physically and mentally strong and is very relatable. I highly recommend this book if you like thrillers and stories about how much power is too much
