Really enjoyed book one but this one did not pull through. The plot was all over the place and it felt like things just happened because the author wanted them to versus building a strong supporting narrative. Also the romance got absurd and unrealistic and not in a fun way.

I found the first book in the series, "Where the Library Hides" by Isabel Ibáñez, to be an enjoyable read. The author's writing style is engaging and the characters are well-developed. However, I was less impressed with the second book in the series. The plot felt rushed and the characters were not as well fleshed out. Overall, I would give the first book 4 stars and the second book 3 stars.

I read through this book. SO FAST.

Whit was annoying the shit outta me tho.
Do you love Inez or not??? Like choose, my man. Cuz you’re about to lose her. Love the revenge-play Inez is pulling out on Whit due to Whit being a dimWHIT.

Storywise: I love that it’s based on true facts (but that there is also a fantasy part in it), and Inez’s strong personality really shines. She stays so positive even after THAT many betrayals. I feel like she’s been betrayed every chapter

It started a little slow, but picked up halfway through. I just feel like the idea had so much potential to be great, it just didn't quite make it all the way.
Also, Inez. Why is she such a frustrating character? How long does it take her to learn from a mistake? And how can she be surrounded by so many awful people?
