This was such an improvement from the second volume. The plot was gripping and almost dragged me to the end. I also found the moment that Tessa was revealed to be pregnant while she was being tortured very tense. Yet the moment that she found that the Queen caused her to lose her baby and that her grandmother, Granna , had also caused her to do the same unwittingly a very shocking and agreeing moment.

You can tell this is a lot shorter than the first.
Which is fine, its still a not too bad length.
I feel like its trying to be Eragon but it just isn't quite there. Not in a bad way, its not as confusing as Eragon but its close.

Improving on the storytelling and character development of the first volume, Jensen crafts an engaging story. The final act feels a little choppy, but compelling nonetheless.

I bought the omnibus. I just finished book 4 early this morning (around 3am) and started book 5. I am so hooked on this series. Loving every minute of it. Fantastic storyline, and characters. I'm anxious to find out what happens, but dread finishing. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

I'm enjoying this book as much as the first, and looking forward to the final part.
